 Faith in Education
On September 23, 1957, a beautiful autumn day, St. Mary School opened its doors to its first students. Throughout the past fifty years, St. Mary School has been dedicated to faith in education for a lifetime. The curriculum has changed with the times, but the sound of children's learning, laughter, and prayers fill the classrooms and hallways just as they did on that first day. Our school community has come a long way, thanks to our dedicated faculty and staff, devoted families and generous benefactors who are committed to making the St. Mary School the best that it can be.
Throughout this year, we will celebrate our past and work together to build a bright future. We began our golden anniversary year with mass celebrated by Archbishop Henry Mansell. The celebration will continue throughout our 50th year with a fall festival in October, a 1950's sock hop, a bowling party for young alumni in January, and a dinner reception for our families, friends, and supporters in April.

Our mission as a Catholic Parochial school is to foster spiritual and
academic growth in a nurturing, safe environment. The educational, physical and
cultural experience supports the development of the child in a faith-based community.
We strive to instill in our students the desire to know, love and serve God. We endeavor to provide a challenging academic setting that encourages our students to gain mastery of skills and subject matter through active engagement in the learning process.
Faculty and administration, in partnership with each family, encourage students
to excel in academics and effectively utilize technology. We aspire to graduate
students who are spiritually alert, morally aware and ethically empowered young
adults. |
